About the NIT

About the NIT

The Technological Innovation Center (NIT-IPDEC) is the sector responsible for managing innovation policy, intellectual property and technology transfer, in line with Federal Law No. 5,563/05.

NIT-IPDEC provides technical support to the Institution’s researchers in the stages of planning, elaboration and submission of research and technological innovation projects. All this support is aimed at facilitating fundraising and the execution of future agreements.

Target Audience

  • Researchers from IPDEC and other institutions;
  • Other teaching and research institutions;
  • Partner companies;
  • The community in general, which will benefit from the transfer of innovative technologies.

Service

The service provided by NIT-IPDEC aims to:

  • AAssist in technology transfer and technological development negotiations;
  • Develop and analyze technology transfer agreements (strategic alliances, transfer of technical information, intellectual property licensing and confidentiality agreements);
  • Direct and monitor administrative processes related to technology transfer and technological development;
  • Carry out prior art searches to support negotiations in the case of potential registration of intellectual property, technological development projects, as well as in the case of possible infringement of third party rights;
  • Support the management of technology contracts (advice throughout the term of the contract, control of royalty payments and contractual term).
