Who We Are

IPDEC Institute

The IPDEC Institute is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the research, development and innovation of computing-based solutions, encompassing hardware, software, strategic management of information and knowledge. Our clients are public and private institutions and third sector entities.

With university genesis, IPDEC began its trajectory in 2014 and stands out for the continuous flow of overcoming its levels of efficiency and quality. Aware of its role in generating scientific and technological knowledge, IPDEC encourages the protection of creations, licensing and other forms of transferring technology and technical information to society.

These activities are supported by the legal framework of Science, Technology and Innovation (CT&I), driven by the Innovation Law and managed through a Technological Innovation Center (NIT-IPDEC), which supports open innovation projects.

Generate, apply and disseminate knowledge in Computing, in conjunction with socioeconomic agents, promoting innovations that meet the needs of society.

To be a reference institute in computational solutions, nationally recognized for its contributions to scientific, technological, economic and social development.

Strategic objectives

With the aim of modernizing management, IPDEC carried out a strategic plan aimed at implementing a model centered on actions, motivations, employee involvement and rationality in decision-making.

For this, institutional modeling was carried out and management oriented to results and processes was implemented in order to avoid wasting resources and conflicting actions. The strategic objectives that guide this entire process for a period of 5 years (2015-2020) are summarized as follows.

Innovation Production

Establish national and international cooperation programs and thematic networks with similar institutions in the main scientific and technological themes of IPDEC

Training of Human Resources in S&T

Annually increase training actions and human resources to carry out projects

Organizational Infrastructure

Annually increase the contribution of contracted/agreed projects in investments in laboratory infrastructure and in IPDEC funding

Cooperation

Establish national and international cooperation programs and thematic networks with similar institutions in the main scientific and technological themes of IPDEC

Performance

Participate in committees of national and international standards bodies by presenting papers, organizing events or sessions relevant to the S&T scenario

Quality in Management

Participate in management evaluation processes in line with the excellence criteria of the National Quality Award
